A Wondering Mind

[Limerick Ace]

A soft breeze came through the air, and white fur flew back. One eye opened, only to see a blurry world; so then the next one opened. A yawn came out, and a pink, dry, tongue rolled back, and sharp teeth were exposed. A head lifted, and looked up to see the trees, or as she would call them, 'big long sticks with weird fur at top.' Although, since it is fall, she calls them 'big long sticks with weird yellow and red fur, sometimes orange fur.' Limerick rolled over onto her back, and then rolled over to stand up. Another yawn came, and Limerick stretched out her front legs and back. The lake wasn't far away... perfect. As always, light white paws with small tan spots started to move slowly in a walk. Then a trot, a jog, run, and finally; Limerick ran as fast as she could. She opened her smiling mouth and let her tongue fly out of the side. The blue glimmering water was getting closer, closer, closer... Limerick's paws flew off of the ground as she jumped high in the air, and the next thing she knew, a cold feeling and hardness hit her. After the layer or hardness, came the softest feeling. It felt like nothing, as if she was just surrounded by coldness.

A white head with blue eyes and a tan spot on both tips of her ears popped up from the water. Limerick swam out quickly, shook, and was about to begin grooming herself; but then a noise came from behind. "Hello?" Limerick looked back, but didn't see anything. She shrugged and started to lick her shining wet fur.

'Ahh, Loners territory.' Acetone thought, 'Perhaps here I can get some peace from any of the packs distractions.' She rested just inside the tree-line watching over the lake. Her head was gingerly placed on her arms, laying there as graceful as anyone. Then her ears popped up faster then a gunfire, a wolf was near and was bounding down the forest just to her left. She looked and saw a white mesh of fur nearly fly past her and jump into the cold, cold lake. "Hello?" Acetone questioned towards the lake. The wolves head turned in her direction but had somehow missed her and went back to licking her wet fur. Acetone moved forward to the lake-sid asking "Hello?" once more.

[Limerick Ace]

Limerick stopped at once and turned around to look at whoever disturbed her. "Oh hi there." Limerick's face was still fairly wet, and water dripped from it slowly. "I am Limerick, at your service." Limerick stood up to bow, and then sat back down. This wolf was pretty, but Limerick didn't say anything. She didn't want to seem too nice, for it would ruin her reputation. So Limerick just pretended she had an itch on her neck and scratched with her back paw, feeling a little awkward inside. Well, this is awkward, Limerick thought to herself before speaking again, "So, do you like to swim?" Limerick stood up again to shake off her fur.
