FALLERE Fallere lay idly near the lake, cool water lapping at her side. She turned her bright blue orbs out to see the beautiful view, watching her pretty reflection in the slightly rippling Buttercup Lake. Absently, the female traced a claw along an old scar on her muzzle, accidentally digging in too hard and drawing a trickle of blood. She sighed and dipped her face into the water, the scarlet drops dissolving into deep blue. The beads of blood continued to come, though, but she figured her reopened wound would stop bleeding sooner or later.
Fallere stood up and padded away, heading into thick forest. The trees were changing color from green to red, orange and yellow, leaves littering the forest floor. Fallere didn’t like fall because practically everywhere she went, she would rustle a leaf or snap a stick and scare off all the prey. She moved silently, stepping lightly, following the scent of a hare. Fallere padded along until she could see the white scrap of fur. It wasn’t far now… she leaped forward, snapped its neck in her powerful jaws, and lay down to eat the fat piece of prey.
