"Ok,so a little farther in the woods behind that rock i was resting on this morning theres a plant with pink flowers,i need its roots"She said carefully so he heard every word"Be very carfull and dont put your mouth on the flowers there sweet nectar is poisonous"She said hoping he heard all of it.

He nodded, "I'll be back soon" he barked before turning and bounding back into the forest trying to remember where he found her this morning. he slowed down and glanced around until he found the rock which was just up ahead, quickly he trotted behind it and saw a patch of the pink flowers Kailani had explained to him about. he was about to bite down on the bud when he remembered that she had told him that the nectar was poisonous, so he tipped the plant to the side with his paw and cut the stem with is claw and pulled out the roots with his teeth he repeated this with two other plants before grabbing them and racing back to the den site. when he arrived he trotted over to Kai and placed the roots at her paws "what do you do with them?" he asked curiously since he had no idea how it was applied or used. Did she have to eat it? or did have to pulverize and apply the pulp to her paw? the answers he didn't know and he didn't bother to care much because he was sure she knew what to do and if she needed help she would explain to him how to do it.

"Well,to things first i have to eat it and that will stop the pain"she said grimicing as she swollowed it"And then i apply it to the scrape to avoid infection"she chewed a glob of the brownish orange root and applyed it to her paw,she let out a long sigh of relife,"ok now ill just rest for a bit"she said laying down her head.

he sighed in relief "so that's it?" he asked her, feeling a bit ignorant for thinking it was a majorly complicated process yet it seemed as easy as it was to find the plant but then again he wasn't as knowledgeable as a healer but he would now keep this in mind as he would never know if a similar crisis were to arise again, and if it were to he would know exactly what to do and he would have Kailani to thank for that.

"Yeah,thats it"she said"i think im gonna try walking"she stated the root had nummed her paw so she could stand on it for a little wile she limped over to the streame and washed the taste of the root out of her mouth"The only dowside to healing is the taste"she laughed taking another swig of water.

he chuckled at Kailani's comment "that is quite true indeed" he said still laughing "so how does it feel when you walk" he added snapping back into a serious tone since he was still worried about her. he may have stopped blaming himself but he was still quite worried.

"I cant feel a thing"She said"Dont worry about me,ill be fine"She told him ."Have we gotten any new arivals"She asked trying to get back to work hoping to show Alaric she was fine "Do we need more food,im just acheing to get out and hunt"she smiled.

He nodded and smiled "three new arrivals, if i remember correctly. And as for hunting i do believe we do need more food so i suppose you and I can try to knock down a deer, if your up for it" he said as he glanced down at her injured leg still a bit worried but decided if she was well enough and stable enough to hunt then she was fine.

he nodded and decided to drop the whole thing considering at the moment they were both unharmed and still breathing "well, maybe we could go track the nearest deer herd. do you think your up to trying to take down a buck deer?" he asked her enthusiastically since it was always quite a challenge to take those down.
