Zero padded along the ground, his paws somewhat cold from the slightly frosted earth below him. The sun was still rising at the moment, and he had set out for a nice walk alone. As he walked along, he neared the pond, shining in the bright light of the sun, rippling in the soft breeze that ran it's surface. He slowed his pace and stopped right at the edge of the water. Maybe I'll rest a while... Zero thought to himself. He was still a bit tired, because he had just woken up not to long ago. The breeze started to pick up a bit, ruffling his fur and splashing some water on his paws.
He backed up away from the water a bit, not to far because he loved the sound of the small rippling in the pond, and laid down. It took a while to get to sleep, because of the chill still lurking in the air, but he did.

Adele wandered aimlessly about the forest that was her territory. She could still barely believe it was all hers... well not all hers. There was her mate, Zero, who also owned the land. Honestly, Adele did not know what to think of him. She rarely made an attempt to talk to anyone, so she did not know him that well even though they were partners. It could be considered sad, but it worked for her so that was the way it was. Adele sometimes wished, though, that she made more of an effort to reach out to him. Unconsciously, she followed his scent to the pond-side. He was napping by the cool waters, peaceful as can be.
Quietly, so to not wake him, she sat nearby and watched the steady rise and fall of his chest. Adele was a little supprised to see him sleeping out here, in the cold of fall. Then again, their thick coats were coming in for the winter, so it could be believable. This puzzle settled, Adele stared off into the distance; across the pond. "Pretty," muttered Adele, enjoying the reds and oranges of the trees reflecting off the cool water of the pond.

Zero drowsily opened his eyes to the sight of his mate Adele. Oh, great. She brought her temper to his nap, perfect. He rose to his feet and stretched, letting the slight breeze ruffle his fur and bring the autumn chill in. He liked the cold for some reason he could not understand, he just did.
"Hey, whats up?" Faking a smile, he turned to his mate. It was still a beautiful scene, the water and the life, he loved it. Now, it was better. He never really realized how beautiful his mate was, her sleek fur in the breeze, her warm gaze. It was nice, come to think of it. "What are you doing out here?" He asked, worried if something had gone wrong in the pack, and she came to warn him.

Adele glanced over at her mate, who was now waking up. The corners of her mouth turned up to a small smile. His fake smile sickened her, she could see through it, but she did not growl or glare. Not yet, at least... "Hey, whats up? What are you doing out here?" "Thought I'd have a bit of a walk, enjoy the breeze 'n all that," she replied to him. He showed some concern, as if there may be danger. Of course there wasn't, Adele would've woken him up and not just sit there admiring the view. Ah, at least he cared as much as she about the pack. He looked lovely, white fur glistening in the damp morning sun. Adele quietly wondered if she loved him, and if he did her.
Pushing the thought aside, Adele spoke, "And what are you doing out here yourself?" She was not angry, merely inquisitive. Then again, it is almost impossible to determine her mood simply from her voice, which was stuck in an eternal tone of frustration. Adele could not help it, she used the tone so often that one day it just never left. Her face contradicted her voice, it was not in a scowl as usual but had a softer look.

Karma had folowed Adele but had lost sight of her so she put her nose to the ground and tried to follow her scent.Karmas small build and small paws did her well when she was trying to be stealthy,as Adele came into veiw so did Zero,Karma had no idea he was there.Karma crouched down and hid in the shadows wathching them from behind a few bushes.

"Oh, I think we have a creeper here!" He said, as he caught scent of another wolf. He smiled and pointed with his tail to a near by bush with a bit fur showing in the cracks between it's leaves. "I'm glad you came out, because we never really bond," Turning to his mate, he smiled and said the words. It was true, they never did. "Maybe we can bond with.. I think it's Karma.. to?" A smile lit his face and he turned to the bush. He slowly stalked up to it and pounced on the small wolf sitting inside. Yup, it was the beta wolf, Karma.

"Oh, I think we have a creeper here!" Adele sniffed at the indicated bush. Ah, that was Karma, the beta. She smiled at the young wolf, "Hi Karma." She tried to be kind to the young one, the pack was so small they needed all the members they could get. "I'm glad you came out, because we never really bond," Adele nodded to her mate, he was right. Besides her social issues, they often were too busy with being alphas to be with eachother. "Maybe we can bond with.. I think it's Karma.. to?" Adele joined him in stalking the bush, just as she might a deer or an elk. He pounced in onto the small wolf inside. She hesitated, thinking she might crush the young one, before joining in the tussle trying to knock over her packmates and play biting them.

Karma giggled "Aw,man"she said"I can never hide from you guys"she fake-wined befor getting up and pouncung ontop of Zero.she struggled to keep her balence as she sat on Zero,but it was hard.She held still "Giddy up,horsey"She said in a pup voice and laughed,she loved to play.

Zero got off of the beta and shook himself a bit, sending small bits of leaves, sticks, and dirt from the bush flying. Sitting down, he quickly took a look at the messed up bush and then back to his company. "It's a nice day out! Why don't we go for a swim, if it's fine with you guys?" The water seemed nice today, calm and cool. He smiled at the thought of a nice swim, a thing he rarely had a chance to do. Water would begin to freeze soon, since the snow was coming, and with snow always came ice.

Adele smiled; a swim would be fun though the water would be freezing cold since fall started. Nonetheless, she jumped into the cool pond water, "C'mon then!" Adele shivered in the icey water, but paddling around soon got her blood warm again. If there was any play she loved, it was swimming. The she-wolf dunked her head underwater for a second, looking at the pretty pond bottom. It was green with algae, and small fish swarmed around it. Adele snapped at them before rising back to the surface with a gasping breath.
